Passenger ships and ships other than passenger ships of 3000 gross
tonnage and upwards, constructed on or after 1 July 2002, must carry
Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) to assist in accident investigations.
Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine is approved for Annual Performance Test
for VDR/SVDR according to the latest resolution of IMO MSC Circular 1222
by classification society ABS.
Our team of experienced and skilled VDR/S-VDR Surveyors. They are
trained and equipped to carry out VDR/S-VDR APT certification.

We do the annual maintenance of the gyro in line with the training given by the manufacturer.
Original Sperry Marine spare material is used during maintenance.
** Not using
original materials, especially using artificial gyro water can damage
the ball and the device..
